We found the e-mail in our box this morning that we have been hoping would come for almost two months now. The US Embassy has cleared Rogi's case and we have made our appointment for the visa interview! That is scheduled for a week from Wednesday. That means Emily and my sister Melissa are leaving for Ethiopia on Sunday. Rogi will be home a week from Sunday! We got the news early this morning (very early in the morning-the e-mail got to our box about 1:00 in the morning and we found it about 2:45) and have been celebrating ever since.
What an amazing feeling to know our beautiful baby boy will finally be with us! Our hearts have been with him for a long time, and now it's so amazing to finally be reunited with the child who we only have gotten to hold a few times. Soon Rogi, you will no longer feel our love only by our prayers or the occasional family who we ask to give you some love. Soon we will be together. We will change your life, but you have changed ours more already.
